The Town of Ludlow’s Recreation Department is excited to welcome applications for summer seasonal positions! These positions will run from June 29, 2026 to August 14, 2026.
Summer Counselors:
- Must be 16 years of age.
- CPR/First Aid Certifications
- $15/HR – 40 Hours/Week
Additional Requirements:
- All applicants must have current certifications PRIOR to application deadline.
- Online Certifications Not Accepted for first time applicants.
- Completed application must include copy of valid Certification or it will not be accepted, and an interview will not be scheduled.
- A copy of a current physical.
Co-Director:
- Must be 21 years of age.
- CPR/First Aid Certification required.
- Completion of Camping Administration course (or related field).
- Two years’ previous experience as part of the administrative staff of a recreational camp for children.
- $17/HR – 40 Hours/Week
Health Care Provider:
- Must be 21 years of age.
- CPR/First Aid Certification required.
- $21.50/HR – 30 Hours/Week
The following positions will run from June 29, 2026, through September 4, 2026:
Lifeguards:
Head Lifeguard (John F. Thompson Memorial Swimming Pool)
- Must be 18 years of age
- Lifeguarding/First Aid, CPR certifications required
- $18/HR – 37.5 Hours/Week
Lifeguard (John F. Thompson Memorial Swimming Pool)
- Must be 16 years of age
- Lifeguarding/First Aid, CPR certifications required
- $16/HR – 37.5 Hours/Week
Assistant Pool Manager (John F. Thompson Memorial Swimming Pool)
- Must be 21 years of age
- CPR/First Aid and Massachusetts CPO or PPO certifications required
- $20.25/HR – 37.5 Hours/Week
Additional Requirements:
- All applicants must have current certifications prior to application deadline or paid receipt for an upcoming course.
- Online Certifications not accepted for first time applicants.
- Completed application must include a copy of valid certifications (valid through 9/4/26) or it will not be accepted. An interview will not be scheduled without this.
- A copy of a current physical is required.
