Fire Department Dormitory Mini-Split HVAC Installation
The Town of Ludlow is soliciting sealed bids from qualified HVAC contractors for the installation of a supplemental ductless mini-split heat pump system at the Ludlow Fire Department Safety Complex.
Project Description
The project consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, permits, testing, startup, and incidental work necessary to provide a complete, turnkey installation of a ductless mini-split heat pump system serving the men’s and women’s dormitory/bunk room areas.
The Contractor shall provide all components necessary for a fully operational system, including indoor units, outdoor condenser(s), refrigerant piping, electrical connections, controls, startup, commissioning, and restoration of all disturbed finishes. Contractors may propose ceiling cassette, wall-mounted, floor-mounted, or other commercially accepted indoor unit configurations that meet the performance requirements of the Invitation for Bids.
Equipment shall be new, commercial-grade, and installed in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and all applicable federal, state, and local codes.

Scope of Work Includes
- Complete turnkey installation of a ductless mini-split heat pump system.
- Equipment sizing and system design based on field conditions.
- Indoor unit installation.
- Outdoor condenser installation.
- Refrigerant piping and insulation.
- Complete electrical installation.
- Startup, testing, and commissioning.
- Restoration of disturbed finishes.
- Owner training.
- Manufacturer’s warranty and minimum one-year labor warranty.
