Overview
The Public Safety Facilities Planning and Oversight Committee (PSF), also referred to as the Building Committee, supports the Town of Ludlow’s long-term planning for public safety facilities. Its work includes reviewing the current Public Safety Complex and planning for future Police and Fire facility needs, public safety operations, facility conditions, funding opportunities, and related municipal support functions.ludlow
Mission and Role
The Committee supports a coordinated review of the Town’s public safety facility needs, with attention to existing conditions and future operational requirements.
Areas of review and planning include:
- The current Public Safety Complex and its facility conditions.
- Future facility needs of the Police and Fire Departments.
- Public safety operations and associated space and facility requirements.
- Potential funding opportunities.
- Related municipal support functions.ludlow
Committee Membership
The Selectboard-approved committee structure includes two resident seats for Ludlow residents with applicable skills. Resident appointments are considered by the Public Safety Facilities Planning and Oversight Committee and made by the Selectboard.ludlow
