Animal Control

The Town of Ludlow Animal Control, which operates under the umbrella of the Ludlow Police Department, assesses and addresses the needs of the community to help protect & improve the lives of residents & their pets.

If you believe your pet has been picked up by animal control, please call the shelter immediately.

Stray dogs and cats will be held for 7 days.

Owners will be responsible for paying a boarding fee of $20.00 per day and a $50.00 impound fee. Other fees may apply.

Per MGL Chapter 140 and the Town of Ludlow, you must show proof of a current rabies vaccine for dogs and cats, and a current city license for dogs, in order to reclaim your pet.
