The Town of Ludlow was awarded a grant from the Massachusetts Commission on Disability (MCOD), which allowed the town to hire James M. Mazik Consulting Services and the Center for Living & Working, Inc. to created the town’s first (federally required) Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan for its municipally-owned buildings & properties.
The consultants collected and reviewed existing available information and interviewed town municipal departments and staff for clarification as well as to discuss potential recommended changes in policies, procedures, practices, and the like.
The town’s Commission on Disability was also closely involved with the process.
