Community Preservation Act (CPA) Committee

The Select Board is seeking applicants to fill four (4) vacancies on the Community Preservation Act (CPA) Committee:

  • Two (2) one-year terms
  • Two (2) two-year terms
  • Appointed members may be reappointed for subsequent three-year terms

The CPA Committee, in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 44B, Sections 3–7, is responsible for making recommendations to Town Meeting on projects involving:

  • Acquisition, creation, and preservation of open space
  • Preservation of historic resources
  • Development and preservation of recreational land
  • Creation, preservation, and support of community housing
    (Preference for reuse of existing buildings or new construction on previously developed sites)
  • Rehabilitation or restoration of the above resources

Residents with relevant background or interest in these areas are strongly encouraged to apply.
